Beltline’s biggest builder, Qualex-Landmark and its partner, Axiom Builders, held a topping-off ceremony for completion of the concrete pour of its newest 34-storey condo tower, Park Point.
Qualex-Landmark has developed more high-rise condo towers in the Beltline than any other developer, accounting for $400 million in real estate value and more than 1,000 homes in the inner-city community in the last decade.

Park Point, located on 12 Ave. S.W. directly across from Central Memorial Park, is valued at $110 million and the completion comes at a time when Calgary’s residential sales and new home construction numbers continue to outpace 2016.

To the end of August, the Calgary Real Estate Board reports total sales were 13,549 homes, compared to 12,516 sales to the end of August 2016. Over the same time period, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. says new home starts reached 7,480 units, compared to 5,693 starts to the end of August 2016.
The project is expected to be finished and move-in ready by summer of 2018, said Mohammed Esfahani, president, Qualex-Landmark, at the topping-off ceremony.

“We are thrilled to be delivering another iconic residential condo tower in Calgary’s Beltline community, and we look forward to welcoming our homeowners next summer,” said Esfahani. “We’d like to thank Axiom Builders for their resolve, steady pace and outstanding work.”

Park Point was designed by the global architectural firm IBI Group and features 289 one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes plus live/work townhomes. The project features indoor and outdoor amenities located on top of the tower podium on the third floor. The space measures almost 9,000 square feet and includes a Zen Terrace with seating and water feature, social air lounge seating with fire pit, barbecue area with a large harvest table and a sundeck overlooking Central Memorial Park.
